Mumbai, Sep 6 (IANS) Shemaroo Entertainment, an integrated production, post-production, distribution and animation film firm, Thursday launched the musical score of its first 3D computer generated imagery (CGI) animation film 'Bal Ganesh'.

'Bal Ganesh' is scheduled to hit the screens this October. Shamir Tandon of the 'Page3', 'Traffic Signal' and 'Corporate' fame has scored the film's music.

The entire crew of the singers of 'Bal Ganesh' including Asha Bhonsle, Shankar Mahadevan, Usha Mageshkar, Kailash Kher, and Siddhant Bhonsle were present at the gala launch.

So were Zee Saregamapa participants Amaanat, Aneek, Nirupama, Junaid, Mauli, Sumedha, Zee Lil Champs Sanchita, Sameer and Pavni along with Raj Pandit who also lent their voices to the songs in the movie.

'We are thrilled to introduce to the world the music of 'Bal Ganesh'. We are certain that the album is sure to be appreciated by all age groups. Lord Ganesh of course has universal appeal and respect, and we believe that songs sung in honour of him, by such talented top artists, make them all that more special,' said Shemaroo Entertainment's animation division's vice-president Smita Maroo.

'It is after three decades that Shamir has brought together the melodious Mangeshkar sisters, Asha and Usha, this time to sing the song 'Nanha Munna Bal Ganesh'. With 'Bal Ganesh', we want to take the Indian 3D animation technology to a different level,' Maroo said.

Shemaroo, a joint venture partner with US-based Sony Picture Entertainment, has several other Indian animation projects in the pipeline including 'Ghatothkach-Master of Magic', which was the first Indian animation film to be promoted at the Cannes Film Festival.
