Chennai, July 29 (IANS) The long standing dispute between director K. Selvaraghavan and the producers of 'Aayirathil Oruvan' has been resolved following the intervention of the Tamil Film Producers Council, sources said Tuesday.
Initially budgeted at Rs.60 million a year ago, the movie has now been sanctioned additional finances to be completed at a total cost of Rs.155 million, TFPC sources said after the director agreed to commence shooting Wednesday.
The film stars Karthi, Reema Sen, and Andrea R. Parthipan.
Selvaraghavan debuted with the hit 'Thulluvatho Ilamai' (2002) that also launched his younger sibling Dhanush as a big star.
Since then, he has made 'Kaadal Kondein', 'Advari Mattakalu', '7G Rainbow Colony' and 'Puduppettai'.
A qualified mechanical engineer and grandson of celebrated Tamil director Kasturi Raja, Selvaraghavan specialises in teenage romances with a horror twist.
While Selvaraghavan is married to actress Sonia Aggarwal, his brother Dhanush is the son-in-law of superstar Rajnikanth.
