Chennai, July 28 (IANS) Entertainment major Moser Baer is remaking Bollywood hit 'Jab We Met' in Tamil and has cast Bharat and Tamanna to play lead roles.

'Initially, the untried pair of Dhanush and Trisha was supposed to head the cast, but due to dates problems Bharat and Tamanna were roped in,' said a publicist.

In the original, director Imtiaz Ali had cast Kareena Kapoor along with her ex-boyfriend Shahid Kapur and the romantic comedy was a huge hit.

Bharat started his career with the Shankar-directed box office dud 'Boys', but tasted success with hits like 'Pazhani' and 'Veyil'.

His 'Veyil' became the first Tamil film to be screened at Cannes Film Festival in 2007. It was shown under the Tous les Cinemas du Monde (All the Cinemas of the World) category and Bharat was reportedly praised for his performance.
