A Facebook page has been created to fight for justice for Bollywood actress Nafisa alias Jiah Khan, who committed suicide by hanging herself in her Juhu apartment. It was reported that she was depressed due to her failing career and crumbling personal life.
Titled "Justice for Jiah Khan", it was launched Monday on the socialnetworking site(URL: https://www.facebook.com/Justice.For.Jiah.Khan). An initiative by Newz66, news and content website, it is reportedly supported by several Bollywood artistes and media professionals.
The page states that Jiah's suicide was completely sudden, unexpected and uncalled for. She was a strong, determined person and it is obvious there is much more than what meets the eye. LIKE this page and leave your comments to ensure that the truth prevails.
Jiah's mother Rabiya Khan has alleged her late daughter was in a live-in relationship with Sooraj Pancholi, son of actor Aditya Pancholi and unrequited love killed her.
On June 10 Sooraj had been arrested by Mumbai police in connection with suicide of Jiah and he will remain in custody till Thursday. Police await Jiah's medical reports to carry probe further.
So far the page has received 36 likes and few comments.

i believe her parents are more responsible than that guy.. if i know that my child or any family member is depressed, then i would NEVER leave them alone, let alone a separate room to sleep.. whatever the case was, Jiah should have stood up for herself..
Kidding me, as much as Sooraj, Jiah's parents are equally responsible. Jiah's parents knew about it as her mother said it in press conference, so how come they didn't do anything about then,. Now that she is gone, her family is finding out how much emotionally she was disturbed with the whole situation, and she needed her families support which quiet obviously they didn't provide, hence she took her own life. There are crime shows on T.V. which yells and screams of these kind of things, let alone this is 21st century.
I don't think anyone from Bollywood is much interested, you only have to see that by the 'cold' turnout at her funeral.
As for this campaign, well it will never bring her back. She needed support and help when she was alive which was sadly missing from her life.
There are many women, like Jiah, and really more efforts should be done to help them break away from their abusers without resorting to suicide like Jiah.
Those who say SP had no hand in her death, well that's not true. Even if he did nothing but just abuse her, in all the ways that count he strung her up and led her to her death so he should accept responsibility. Every action has a consequence. And this is his.
im not saying what he did was right...the physical/verbal/emotional abuse all needs to be dealt with...but appropriate charges for those things are necessary...yes what he did was wrong...but he's not responsible for her death...she put that rope or cord around her neck and she took her life...she was the one that didnt stand up for herself and get away from a man who was clearly not good for her...is Sooraj an ass...yes...but should he be held on charges because someone else took their life...i dont thinks so
judging jiah is wrong but just coz an emotionally weak person decided to end her life doesn't make him guilty. Loads of ppl have breakups, get in relation with a bad person, suicide is not the right step.
but then we never come to know the real truth in such cases!
In all honesty, police is not going to be able to do much. Losers like him exist everywhere, but all jiah had to do was let go of him and move on. No body was forcing her to have a relationship with him, but we can't judge since those were her personal feelings. but, I don't see how she is going to get any justice, this is more of a personal tragedy than a criminal case. If she had been alive, the whole case could have been different, but with her suicide, there is not much police can do. If it helps, to compensate for his supposive bad deeds, his career is already destroyed!
In the letter, she did not mention the name of the guy to whom the letter is addressed...It can be someone else, other than Suraj too in my opinion...Its her mother's words that Suraj is the culprit, and until now she didn't say anything about their live-in relationship or abortion for that matter...So, just based on a letter, which is not even addressed to anyone in particular, there are less chances of making Suraj guy a target...For all we know, it can be written by someone else too, or for someone else too...
I am not supporting abuse, or rape or anything of that sort...What I am referring to is the actual law that exists around the world...Abetting to suicide doesnt mean, if a person's relationship fails, and they commit suicide, that means their partner is abetting...
Abetting to suicide doesnt imply in this case at all. And the arrest of suraj is not legal...It would be illegal, if he kept on threatening her of dire consequences if she opened her mouth, if he said things like you will suffer if you break up with me (in that case it shows she had no way out of the relationship), or if he threatened to kill her family, or harm her if she left him. But, none of that has been mentioned in her letter/supposed letter.. she also didn't file any harassment case while she was live against suraj or anyone else for that matter. She did try to hurt herself before, and in that case the suraj guy informed her mother and did his rightful duty. Her mother is saying that she killed herself for suraj, but, he had informed her of her previous attempt. This also works in favour of Suraj. So, there are many factor that clearly shows, that he has not intentionally/unintentionally hinted her to commit suicide...She was mentally unstable/depressed, and if she had been treated for depression when it was discovered, she wouldn't have taken such drastic step...I think Suraj is innocent in this case...
