Just want to point out that Sanjay Dutt was in possession of those arms as self-protection because muslims were being targeted and his mother was muslim. He did not intend to kill people, nor was he involved in terrorist activities.
So stop quoting the number of people who died in the blast to justify the sentence. It makes for a ridiculous argument. The only reason why that is relevant is because it helps us understand why the illegal possession of firearms was seen with such seriousness, given the situation at the time.
It was foolish, and for that reason, it's really sad. Although, yes, it's good that nobody is above the law. Still, sad.
Also want to point out that I dont think this can be compared to the Salman Khan convictions. Drunken driving, homicide, and killing blackbucks are not exactly foolishness according to me.
Now its Salman's turn to be punished for his crimes! I feel bad only for Sanju's kids, especially the little twins. They will miss 5 yrs with their Dad!
What more can we expect when ordinary citizens idolize celebrities and turn them into GOD?
Saying that the person has already suffered for 20 years because the case was stretched for that long is the MOST RIDICULOUS ARGUMENT.
So, using this argument, let's extend every case for 20-30 years and then all the folks against whom there are any criminal charges pending would go free (because they would have already suffered for 20-30 yrs).
People just don't want to use their BRAINS at all.
THINK FOR ONE F****** second about the lives that were lost in the blasts. If there were 200 PEOPLE involved, all of them were equally responsible.
Of course, Dutt was cleared of the blasts but possessing weapons illegally (an AK47) is insane and indeed foolish.
Shame on Dutt's bollywood cronies and all those people who just have shock to express at the verdict.
I am appalled at how dysfunctional our society is getting.

APART FROM HIM SALMAN IS ANOTHER BIGGEST CONTENDER
HE SAYS BEING HUMAN N I THINK HEZZ THE ONE WHO LYKS HUNTING N SHOW MANY OF HIS HUNTING SKILLS ,
DURING DELHI GANG RAPE CASE HE SAID ANY THING WRONG AGAINST WOMEN WILL NT BE TOLERATED N HE HAVE GOT MANY PUBLICITY FOR HIS DOMESTIC VOILENCE AGAINST MANY ACTRESS
I HOPE YOU GUYS REMMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED ON CHALTE CHALTE SET ... HEHEHEHEHEHH LOLY HEHHEHEHEEH
No matter what hatred people show there are fans there who will always love you no matter what. I don't think you had anything to do with the blast but yes it was stupid to have illegal weapons. Despite that I htink you have served your time of 20 years! People go to jail to change and repent their mistakes and that is the motive of prison but I think you have already repented for your mistakes. I wish you all the best in life
So what if he has undergone 20 years of traumatic stress!!!! What about the families of those who lost their lives in the blasts? And why on earth was Sanjay Dutt in possession of those illegal firearms anyway.
If it was another country, Dutt would have been punished much harsher and rightly so. This is India, delayed judgement that let Dutt continue earning money for 20 years.
The media is also terrible, making out like Sanjay Dutt is the victim and people should feel sorry for him. HELL NO.
I just hope they don't give him VIP treatment in the jail, he should be treat same as other criminal.
in those 20 years he had block busters, got married and had two twins, where is the stress?
