Mumbai, March 21 (IANS) Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale, who was named best actor at the 60th National Awards for his Marathi film "Anumati," is glad to share the award with Irrfan, who won the same title for "Paan Singh Tomar."
"Irrfan and I share it, and I am very happy because Irrfan is one the best actors in the country. I have not worked with him, but Irrfan is a good actor. I have watched some of his films and I have seen 'Paan Singh Tomar' also. He has done a very good job," Vikram said here on the sets of his TV show "Ghar Aaja Pardesi."
Vikram states he was not aware that his film was being considered for the coveted award.
"I didn't even know that the film that I have been given the award for was even being considered at the National Awards. When I was named, I was happy," Vikram said.
The actor has featured in Bollywood films like "Bhool Bhulaiyaa", "Life Partner", "Main Aisa Hi Hoon", "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam" and the 1990's "Agneepath".
