Sonu Niigam's mother dead, cremated

Singer Sonu Niigam's mother Shobha Nigam is no more. Her last rights were performed here Friday morning.

Singer Sonu NigamSinger Sonu Niigam's mother Shobha Nigam is no more. Her last rights were performed here Friday morning.

The 63-year-old passed away Thursday afternoon at 1:40 p.m at her Andheri home. The last rites were performed at the Vile Parle crematorium at 9.30 a.m.

Actor Manoj Bajpai, who was present at the cremation, tweeted: "Dear friend Sonu Nigam's mother passed away after battling with cancer. May her soul rest peace! Take care of yourself Sonu."

Other Bollywood celebrities inluding Sajid-Wajid, Talat Aziz, Jatin Pandit and Bhushan Kumar were present at the cermomy.
