The actor received applaud for his instant one-liners in his 2011 released film and now he will flaunt his art of poetry in modern version of Sai Paranjpye's comedy film, recreated by David Dhawan along with other actors Siddharth, Ali Zafar, and Taapsee Pannu.
In the recently released trailer, Divyendu is seen mouthing some of the poems and at one of the recent events he shared some wacky poetry.
One such poem is, "Arz kiya hai, Kashmir na koi le sakta hai, aur Kashmir na koi de sakta hai; Kashmir mein bus honeymoon ka 3 raat aur 2 din ka package ho sakta hai".
"Well if you would have seen the trailer, I recite the 'shaayari' in a very serious way because in the film, they have been written by me and I share it with everyone with full conviction, but the content is so funny that the reaction I get is completely opposite," the actor said in a statement.
The film will hit theatres April 5.
