Hailing the decision to hang parliament attack convict Afzal Guru, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan said Saturday that it was important to follow law and order.
"The law should be followed and respected by one and all. Whatever has been done, it has been done according to the law - whoever the accused may be - you, me or someone else," the 70-year-old told reporters at his office.
"The country investigated the matter completely, and only then they have acted as per law," he added.
Afzal Guru was convicted for his role for the attack on Indian Parliament in 2001.

but now whay about those idiots Bench**s who raped that girl- the delhi rape case ???
Salute to indian law in which supereme court accept that they did not find any evidence of afzal guru involved in any terrorist organization but still hang him for the emotions of their nation.

i partially agree with u as innocent should be forgiven... but he was proved guilty in 2006 andd he applied for mercy later...so the so called indian law took 7 fruitful yrs to decline his request...all i can say is if indian govt responded immediately they would have faced a lot of troubles frm afjal's favourites...simply indian govt has no guts to execute it...they waited so long so that ppl can forget the issue..
thr is no logic of waiting for mercy track these many yrs... we r living in 21st century not in gandhi's ruling...we should learn how to fight n save our ppl...when govt punishes somebody it should be a lesson for others to not do the crime...but indian law never gives this treatment to victims as it take forever.obviously by the time he has been executed 100 more afjal guru's vl be in... as simple as it is...
saluting indian law? for what? o pls... indian law deserves anything but a salute...they need 2 stop wasting time...and move quickly with case decisions...waiting 10 odd yrs for justice...in the end u jus giv up and evn wen u do receive justice cos u waited so long u dnt evn feel like u hav received it...its not been worth the wait...indian law needs 2 b revised...take on cases and announce the punishments quickly...

it is called due process. Whether you agree or not, even criminals have rights. the system does not work differently for "innocent people" and "guilty people". You cannot raise someone from the dead if you made a mistake. that is one of the reasons why it takes so long to execute someone.
And I agre with ratila - justice, better late than never.
Now lets see how long it takes to execute the 6 Delhi rapists.. even "open and shut" cases take forever, because the eyes of the world are on India. It's funny, the USA has the largest prison population in the world, many of their states execute people, yet other countries are "frowned upon"

@aczc ..do u really think thr is no hindu got hanged under indian law for anything ? be it rape or murder!!?? it must be a joke ...get ur facts before u speak .. thr r so many hindu's been hung for their deeds .. recently a person who was hanged under a rape case is hindu ...it doesn't matter the person is hindu/muslim/christian or etc ... one should be punished for their bad doings .. for crime , it's not related to any community... riminals doesn't have any community ..thr r loads of ppl who r criminals all kind of communities ..
