Actress Huma Qureshi will travel to Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh to promote her forthcoming horror thriller "Ek Thi Daayan" at the ongoing Maha Kumbh. She says that this would be her first ever visit to a Kumbh mela.
"This is the first time I am going to a Kumbh mela. The only time I have heard of it is in the movies. I am really looking forward to it because it's the largest assembly of believers anywhere in the world and this is the first time a film promotion is happening there," she said.
She feels lucky to be born in a secular nation like India.
"I think it's fantastic and this can only happen in India. It's such a secular country where anybody could be walking down the road and you really can't tell what faith or what religion that person belongs to," the 26-year-old said.
"Honestly, we are blessed to be born and live in a country like India. We have a mutual respect for each other's beliefs all the time. I have grown up in a very secular way," she added.
