He has come a long way from being a video jockey (VJ) to film star, but Ayushmann Khurrana says life was meant to be so for him.

Asked if he thinks he is an inspiration to other video jockeys, the "Vicky Donor" star said: "I think it was a norm from time immemorial - every VJ got an opportunity in the film industry. So, I think I got the right one and I played with my strength."

Other VJs who got a chance on the big screen include Cyrus Broacha, Maria Goretti, Malaika Arora Khan and Rannvijay Singh.
