Himesh Reshammiya is not only co-producing "Khiladi 786 - Made in Punjab", but even has a role in the movie.

"My role is a surprise. This is the first time I am playing the role of a Gujarati boy, Mansukh Desai. And the story is mine. The music is mine. This is my first joint venture with Akshay Kumar," said Himesh.

Directed by Ashish R.Mohan, the action-comedy features Akshay opposite Asin Thottumkal.

"I have been composing music for Akshay's films since a long time. I feel this is a 'Khiladi' film and I think he is the real hero in this film, while the rest are extras," Himesh added.
