Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan Friday said he was thankful he was not directly involved in legal tussle between producers of "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" and "Son of Sardaar".

He was referring to actor-producer Ajay Devgn sending a legal notice to Yash Raj Films for allegedly asking exhibitors to give prominence to "Jab Tak Hain Jaan" over "Son Of Sardaar."

"I was reading about it today. There are enough screens. These are all legal matters and thankfully it's not my production company," Shah Rukh told reporters at a press meet on his 47th birthday here.

"I hope they resolve it and on this Friday both the films do well," he said.

"I have nothing against anyone. I have no problem with anyone," he said.

The films are releasing Nov 13.

According to an article in Delhi times, the single screen theatres were given the rights to screen ek tha tiger, only if they sign a contract which suggests that they will exclusively run the next yrf production which happens to be JTHJ...and almost all the single screen theatres obliged...and this is the bone of contention...multiplexes will be able to screen both films but not the single screen theatres...and, SOS claims that this will kill their business...Yrf said they will not like to elaborate beyond their released press note..

Well Ajay was initially asked to postpone his release date.. but he didnt want to do it.
Then ofcourse everyone wants to make money.
Distributors knew that majority would love to watch JTHJ instead of SOS since it's from Yashraj and SRK, kat and other reasons..
Now when there are two films coming together how can u demand ur presence..
presence or priority is something that needs to be created not forcefully demanded.
Ajay should have listened to the industry fellows and postponed his release date.

    Both movies seems promising,.
But i want to say this, that it is distributors fault that they are not doing fine job of distributing SOS,. and of course Yash Raj films has their own cell that distributes in major countries outside of Indian subcontinent (e.a, UK, USA,).

and BTW, SOS's Distributor, Viacom is not a small company, it is bigger then Yash Raj Films outside of India.

people are so biased here on IF i m surprised! instead of looking at the issue in logical manner, all everyone cares about is "I love yu srk , yashraj and blah blah". From what I know about bollywood, I have always respected ajay for his critical thinking and here hes not wrong either. its not about SOS and JTHJ comparison, both movies fit in completely different genres! So quit comparing them. If you love SRK sure, but then please dont criticize other actor just because he wants competition to be fair.
Only reason they hve said notice to YRF is because SOS is loosing on screen numbers, which to be honest shouldnt have happened. They have put money in this matter so sure they have to take steps to avoid necessary lose!
Oh btw I know lots of people are gonna dislike my post and honestly I dont care! I normally dont post but seeing all the comments couldnt control myself!

I like Shah Rukh for this reason, he is a nice guy, he never thinks bad of others, he is an awesome father, a nice husband and a nice brother. Miss the days when SRK used to work with REAL actresses: Kajol, Rani, Madhuri etc.

I was going to watch JTHJ but then found out katrina was in it! So many good actresses in bollywood and they had to choose a non-actress for this role?? She is good to look at but cant act to save her life. Very disappointed! Miss the days when SRK used to work with REAL actresses: Kajol, Rani, Madhuri etc. :(

We fans should learn from him and not bash other actors, I hate when Shah Rukh fans bash the other Khans, and when the other Khan fans bash Shah Rukh. I love SRK and I just cannot bash the others as I think it is not worth the effort. Everyone has the right to like/love whom ever they choose too :) Bashing others do not make your favorite actor better.

Love you Shah Rukh! You Rock!
