Model-actress Aeshra Patel was in tears upon seeing "English Vinglish" as she could relate to Sridevi's character's struggle with the English language.

Aeshra came to Mumbai from a small village situated on the outskirts of Vadodara, and faced tough times in Mumbai as she couldn't speak fluent English. She studied in a Gujarati medium school.

She came to Mumbai with dreams in her eyes like lot of aspirants, and featured in advertisements. But her English woes often posed problems, said a source.

When she saw "English Vinglish", she could exactly relate to the character played by Sridevi, and now desires to meet the Sridevi in person to compliment her on the performance.

If Katrina Kaif can be a accepted in the industry when she doesn't know Hindi, why are people who can speak Hindi but not English looked down upon? I thought Bollywood was about producing HINDI films not English. Anyways, I'm not trying to take a dig at Katrina, I'm her fan, but I'm using her as an example. Of course, she's learned so much Hindi in a short amount of time, but she was also encouraged and given that time too. People who speak Hindi and not English should be given the same encouragement.
