Debutante director Gauri Shinde, who gears up for the release of her new film "English Vinglish" Friday, says the aim of the movie is to tell people to go beyond language.
"I am not trying to promote any language. All I am trying to say through the movie is that one should go beyond language and not divide people on the basis of their mother-tongue. We can connect otherwise too," Gauri told reporters here Monday at PVR's Director's Cut in Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj.
Gauri was here with veteran actress Sridevi to promote their film "English Vinglish".
