After making a musical "Jaan E Mann", Shirish Kunder has tried to be different with fantasy adventure drama "Joker" and the filmmaker hopes it helps him explore new genres.

After making a musical "Jaan-E-Mann", Shirish Kunder has tried to be different with fantasy adventure drama "Joker" and the filmmaker hopes it helps him explore new genres.

"The problem with trying innovative things is that no one believes you when you are making it. The entire process is full of struggles," Kunder tweeted.

"The acceptance to #JOKER will make it possible for me to explore new genres and fresh stories. I will attempt a new genre with every film," he added.

The film, releasing Friday, features Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha in lead roles.
