Tweeting his anger, Big B wrote: "The funeral of Rajesh Khanna was poignant and crowded... the crowds were in throngs, with scant respect for the situation... pity !!"
While one would expect the crowd to comprise of fans of Rajesh Khanna who had come to pay last respects to the late superstar, Big B thinks otherwise.
"For the crowds it is always a moment of an event to see so many stars assemble... not one of respect to him that passed away," tweeted Amitabh.
Rajesh Khanna, fondly called Kaka by his family and friends, passed away Wednesday morning following a liver infection. He was 69.
The Bollywood's first superstar was laid to rest at the Vile Parle crematorium Thursday. His grandson Aarav lit the pyre.

Big B is used to travelling in cars and not walking. This was a very long walk. He must have known that the walk and the procession will be long and tiring. He is not young. He was looking very frail held with one arm of his son. I was worried that he might fall down and get stampeded on. Mr B must have said it because he was WITHIN the crowd and heard and felt everyone around him. Why the hell did he have to walk?? Secondly, Rajesh wanted to have a grand funeral. It was his wish and public has no right to bash his funeral. It was raining and his fans were out there to pay their last respect. This is how the processions are in India. It was not a religious procession where you all sing hymn and chant as you walk. I am sorry to say, but Mr B should keep his funeral private when he will have one. We will all die one day so don't take my last line harshly.

its disrespectful for him to say such thing to Rajesh ji's fans...Just because some people in film industry can fake respect, it doesnt mean fans and public also does the same...There were couple of famous people seen smiling during photos, can I ask if you ppl are so respectul and genuine, why was there no respect or sadness on your faces...or were some people just there for publicity..

its kinda dumb of all the film stars to go there in the first place!People had come to pay respect to Rajesh Khanna-it was raining, the road was flooded with people, there was already chaos out there and the last thing needed to spoil the situation were actors walking on the road!
People had already visited him, prior to his cremation ceremony to pay thier respects and they shouldnt have come once again!
i wish they didnt make a tamasha out of someones funeral for Gods sake-i felt worse for his little grandson Aarav who had to do the last rights, the poor kid was just hugging his Dad Akshay, poor kid was so scared!
i really hope they respect someones funeral procession and stop making a Tamasha of it...
Sir you should not tweet with jealosy filled words at least for funeral procession of Kaka. I thought you had gr8 respect for him...
Big b is right the crowd did not show any respect at all to the person who was dead instead there where screaming and shouting at seeing the other stars Very bad
