Director Guddu Dhanoa has confirmed that he is making a sequel to his 2000 movie "Bichhoo" -- but says instead of the original lead pair - Rani Mukherjee and Bobby Deol - he will cast fresh faces for part two of the suspense thriller which is likely to go on the floors in September or October
"Yes, I am making a sequel to 'Bichhoo'. The script is ready and we are finalizing the star cast for the film," Dhanoa told IANS.
"The sequel to 'Bichhoo' will not have Rani and Bobby. It will have a fresh star cast. We are planning to cast some established stars but can't talk much until we make an official announcement on the same," he added.
When asked why he took so long to come up with a sequel, he said: "When 'Ghayal Returns' can come after 20 to 25 years, then why not a sequel to 'Bichhoo'. We can plan a sequel at any point of time, it's a creative call."
The film is titled "Bichhoo 2" and it will not be a continuation of the original.
"No, it will not be a continuation of 'Bichhoo'. It's a fresh film which will be called 'Bichhoo 2'. The film will go on floors by September or October and will be entirely shot in Mumbai and Bangkok," said Dhanoa.
