New Delhi, May 25 (IANS) Rajkumar Hirani and Rituparno Ghosh are among the filmmakers scheduled to hold master classes at the third edition of the Indian Film Festival (IFF) in Melbourne June 11-22. Designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee will host a workshop too.
Hirani and Joshi, who have been behind blockbusters like the "Munnabhai" series and "3 Idiots", will share insights about how to tickle the audience's funny bone with intelligent scripts.
National award-winning filmmaker Ghosh, popular for Bengali films like "Chokher Bali" and "Nauka Dubi", will take to the dias to talk about the culture of arthouse cinema. His session is expected to be a treat for lovers of realistic cinema.
With animation getting increasingly popular in Indian cinema, Hansraj, who directed the country's first ever three-dimensional (3D) mainstream animation project, will talk about the genre. He will also share his views on what's needed for Indian animators to make it big.
That's not all.
There's something for fashion lovers too. Bollywood's loved designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, known for styling actors like Vidya Balan, Rani Mukerji and Madhuri Dixit, will talk about the importance of the usage of fabric in Indian films.
Using his experience, he will also impart knowledge about how to select the right costumes in films to narrate the right emotions.
The official announcement for the IFF was made earlier this month by Vidya in Melbourne.
