New Delhi, Nov 1 (IANS) After making dark comedies and thrillers, Saurabh Shukla has directed 'Pappu Can't Dance Saala', a mass commercial entertainer.

The movie features actors Vinay Pathak, Neha Dhupia and Rajat Kapoor, who also featured in Shukla's 2010 film 'Raat Gayi Baat Gayi?'.

'Pappu Can't Dance Saala' is an exciting love story. Having said that, it still has its edge like any other Saurabh Shukla film. For the first time, Saurabh Shukla has directed a commercial entertainer and it has shaped out to be fantastic,' said a source.

Produced by R Vision India Ltd, 'Pappu Can't Dance Saala' is the story of a common man from Benaras who falls in love in Mumbai and with Mumbai. The roller-coaster ride of the characters therein forms the rest of the story.

'Saurabh thinks that every situation in life has a comic element to it. Keeping that in mind, 'Pappu Can't Dance Saala' promises a lot of fun moments and laughter too,' the source added.

Shukla, who was seen in films like 'Bandit Queen', 'Zakhm', 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' and 'Mithya', is remembered for his role as Kallu mama in 'Satya'.

He has directed films like 'Chehraa' and 'I Am 24'.
