
Bhopal, Oct 13 The Madhya Pradesh government Thursday honoured veteran actor Dev Anand with the 14th Rastriya Kishore Kumar Samman on the occasion of the 25th death anniversary of the late singer-actor, a minister said.
An amount of Rs.2 lakh, an honour plaque and a shawl were given to the octogenerian actor for excellence in direction at his residence in Mumbai.
The evergreen hero, apart from a stellar career on screen, has produced some very memorable films, including 'Johnny Mera Naam', 'Guide', 'Jewal Thief' and 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna'.
The 88-year-old has also been honoured with Padma Vibhushan and Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
A grand function was also held at Khandwa, Kishore Kumar's birthplace, in the singer's memory.
