Mumbai, Nov 25 (IANS) 'Voice Of India' winner Ishmeet Singh was full of praise for friend Harshit Saxena, who narrowly missed the title of the hugely popular reality music talent show on STAR, saying 'both of us are winners'.
'I would not say that Harshit has lost. Both of us are winners,' Ishmeet told reporters after the finale at the Andheri Sports Complex Saturday evening.
'We are great friends. Since the beginning we never argued, as both of us do not talk much. When we reached the finals we decided that now we will only enjoy, as winning and losing is immaterial,' he said.
'Making it to the finals is more important than a win. Both of us have won. I am overwhelmed by the love people showered on me, by sending their votes. It has been a wonderful learning experience for me and there is a long way to go,' said Harshit.
The two friends also raved about each other's singing talent.
'What can I say about his singing, he sings so well. He is one of the best participants. I wish he should sing so many songs that I have to queue up to take his autograph one day,' said Punjabi singing sensation Ishmeet.
Harshit returned the compliment with, 'Ishmeet sings very well. Earlier we all used to talk among ourselves that he knows what to sing, and how to sing, and whatever he sings he sings well. Moreover he has a wonderful fan following in Punjab.'
On the jury members, Ishmeet said: 'Judges were like our parents. Sometimes I got a scolding from them, sometimes they showered love. But Shaan-dada has been very supportive throughout. Whenever something went wrong he used to help us calm down and cope with it.'
Harshit added: 'Abhijeet-da is really sweet, he kept on doing something amusing or the other. However, all the judges were very sweet. As soon as the name of the winner was announced Adesh-ji said in my ears 'Don't get upset and worried, I am always with you. I will make you sing uncountable songs. Just wait and watch!'
