Rani & Simi war of words on Simi Selects!

The actress is once again back on the small screen, sharing screenspace with Simi Garewal on Simi Selects India's Most Desirable on Star World.

The last time we saw Rani Mukherji on the TV was a few weeks ago on UTV's Live My Life, where one of her biggest fans got to live her idol's life for a day.

The actress is once again back on the small screen, sharing screenspace with Simi Garewal on Simi Selects India's Most Desirable on Star World. Yes, you read that right - Rani is the next most desirable guest on the show, where she will be seen talking about what tickles her fancy.

Though there have been reports that there were problems between the host and the actress, the stills show a different story. Sources state that Simi exchanged heated words with her guest during the recording of the episode.

Insiders say that the chat was fine until Simi asked Rani to talk about her relationship with Aditya Chopra. The actress refused to comment on the matter, but was repeatedly prompted about it, which lead to Rani becoming impatient. 

Apparently, Rani told Simi she wouldn't talk about her personal life and asked her to move on to the next question. However, we all know Simi is known for her digging prowess and so didn't give up, insisting that everyone knew Rani and Aditya were together. This was when Rani supposedly lost her temper and raised her voice, insisting that it should not be part of the show. Simi went on to explain that the show was to talk with celebrities about the romances and their private lives.

The episode is slated to air on the 16th of October.

To know the truth, we can only wait and watch. Until then, enjoy how refreshingly young and bubbly Rani looks in the stills.

    I find these indian talk shows too sugary and laadi la - the host/ess would rather maintain their friendship with the star than probe and give the audience the nitty gritty. But each to their own.

    Somehow, this doesn't quite seem right to me. Rani would obviously have been expecting questions about Aditya Chopra, so I can't imagine Simi Ji needing to explain the nature of the show to her. On the other hand, though Simi Ji does always try to dig deeper into people's personal lives, I find that she knows where to draw the line. She knows when someone's not comfortable to disclose more than what's already been said (e.g. Deepika, Anushka etc.), and she doesn't probe much further.

    But I'm really looking forward to this episode with Rani. Smile
