Born to a Punjabi family residing in Tilak Nagar on 24th December (1959), Anil Kapoor, an ardent fan of Bollywood from a young age, went to Our Lady of Perpetual Succor School and then proceeded to graduate from Roshan Taneja's acting school. In 1984, Anil wedded model Sunita Bhambani, and the two are proud parents to two daughters and a son today.
Anil first appeared on the big screen in a movie called Humare Tumhare where he played a character role. His first movie with a lead role was Woh Saat Din, wherein Anil officially stepped into the Bollywood industry and since then, has acted in some of Bollywod's best including Tezaab, Insaaf Ki Awaaz, and Rishtey, among others. One of his highest has been starring in the Oscar sweeping and critically acclaimed international production Slumdog Millionaire. From performances in both Bollywood and Hollywood, the versatile actor has starred in close to a hundred movies and is widely recognized all over the world. Apart from acting, Anil is also the director of the Asian Academy of Film and Television, which is rated among the top 10 film schools in the world.
