The Asian Award, honoring luminaries from all genres including business, arts, technology and sports to name a few, had successful director of Bend It Like Beckham fame, Gurinder Chadha presenting the prize to Mr. Yash Chopra. Mr. Amitabh Bachchan was gifted the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The ceremony saw many known faces in attendance including Ratan Tata, Sunil Mittal, Sachin Tendulkar, A. R. Rahman and Vijay Mallya who were also acclaimed for their special services.
