Kailash Kher is a name that needs no introduction today. The fame has however, come the way of a long ensued struggle and tremendous hard work that continues to reign his routine.


His debut success came with the heartfelt rendition of Allah Ke Bande from the movie Waisa Bhi Hota Hai 2, which hit a near instant chord with countless music lovers of both genders, all generations, and various lingual backgrounds. In retrospect, perhaps part of the magic came from the reality of the lyrics that formed a part of Kher's life before the advent of stardom.


A believer of the fact that the uniqueness of his sufi and folk oriented vocals can suit every hero, Kailash has been a playback for many among tinsel town's loved on screen faces. Additional contribution to the field of music has come from the band he established some years ago, called Kailasa.


Recently, his inclusion in the making of the themed anthem for T-Mobile and Fender Guitars for FIFA 2010, alongside world renowned music personalities like Algerian singer Cheb Khaled and Grammy nominated Nigerian singer King Sunny Ade, has raised the bar of his accolades to an international pedestal.


Next on the cards is the reality show IPL Rockstar, to be launched by Colors TV and IPL, on March 13th. Twelve contestants will be seen contesting for the title of IPL Rockstar on the IPL cricket ground itself. It will be judged by Kailsh Kher and Sukhwinder Singh, and it will be hosted by British-Indian rapper Hard Kaur. IPL franchise owners SRK, Shilpa Shetty, and Preity Zinta, will co-judge the stage presence of contestants.
